Associate in Specialized Business Degree Program
Program Objective
The Accounting program provides training for the person seeking an entry-level career in accounting and bookkeeping with opportunities for advancement to professional levels. Accountants need to be good at working with numbers and concentrating on details. Students gain knowledge of the accounting processes used in governmental, service, and manufacturing environments as well as skills in computerized accounting systems. Graduates may pursue careers as junior accountants, bookkeepers, accounting clerks, billing clerks, and collection workers in virtually every industry including wholesale and retail firms, schools, hospitals, physicians’ offices, banks, and governmental agencies.
