| | She's well behaved; puts CJ to shame at obedience school, and will soon be taking her TDI test. We don't know how we were ever a one dog house! Thanks for trusting us to her care! |
| | She & CJ play together ALL day, they dig holes together in the back yard, play tag, & the latest game is Hide&Seek. In the evenings she's the first one at the door ready to go for our usual (5 mile) walk. They walk great together-all I need is a sled! | She is no longer a scrawny puppy & now weighs over 50 pounds & has a really sturdy build. | | Babs stayed with us until the following week when I was to return to the shelter. She fit in and won our hearts. We knew right away that we could never give her to anyone else. Divine intervention found her the perfect home at the most unlikely time. |
| | Shelter Volunteer, Jen H., her husband, Andy, and 2 small sons, and two other rescues; Jessie the dog and Amber the cat. Babs and Jessie are now the best of friends and closest of doggie sisters. | As A volunteer, I'd walked Babs on occasion, but had never really formed a special bond with her as I did with some of the other dogs. One night I took Babs home to transport her to an upcoming adopt-a-thon which was then cancelled due to bad weather | Babs was at the shelter for about 6 months. She was very fearful and shy at first, but warmed up with loving attention from volunteers. Many often said, "why is she still here?!" She had turned into such a nice dog! | 38 KB | 289

| | Raoul is doing so well, it's unbelieveable that he was overlooked for 8 years. Words cannot describe how loving he is. He has really come out of his shell. His new nickname is "hunka hunka burnin' love" because he's so big and so loveable. |
| Raoul (top) is the 4th dog (the 3rd from MM) added to Jen's family. Raoul was born at and had lived almost all of his 8 years at the shelter! (adopted briefly and returned) | I've wanted a 4th dog for several months & finally my husband agreed, but he wanted to pick the dog. I thought of Raoul because he's laid back, shy & also, my gut kept telling me that the right thing to do was adopt one of the older dogs. Andy agreed! | He is such a love bug. | | He's so smart! He loves his daily walks and starts getting excited as soon as we start putting our sneakers on. All in all he's doing very well and we love him so much!! Thanks for everything. |
| | He's doing great and fits right in with our family. He has lots of energy and loves chasing his chew toys. Kira has taught him several new tricks and he has learned very quickly! | As far as we could tell when he came to our house, he could only sit on command. Kira taught him to shake (with both paws), lay down, roll over, and stay.

| | Thank you for helping me find my new mommie. |
| Bella and her friend, Joey, were owner relinquished in early 2008. | We went to the pet store on the way home & I got new toys & treats. We then went to Mc Donalds to celebrate. Mom let me have a couple bites of her chicken sandwich. | We got home & I claimed a big stuffed chair just for me. I've been on walks & met my sisters that live next door (mommie's daughter's 2 shar peis). | | We just couldn't be happier with him. He's such a fabulous dog and we were so lucky that we were the ones to adopt him! |
| Brody was a handsome chocolate lab who was a stray. When found, he had stayed on a farm where he could run free. He was VERY frustrated being contained at the shelter, but volunteers knew he was a diamond in the rough. | When we adopted him, he was anxious, overweight, & really unsure of his role w/us. He was always happy to see us, but never real affectionate. Now, he's so sweet... just the best dog. He's lost between 15-20 lbs. | He absolutely loves living by the river. Swimming, fetch, and canoeing are some of his favorite activities. He has met my parent's golden retriever (Titan) and they are best buds now, its really cute. | Kristen and Mark in June 2007.
